Ennis Men’s Powerlifting takes 1st place at the Rice Meet this past Saturday

The Ennis Powerlifters brought home the first place trophy at the Rice Powerlifting meet this past Saturday. Leading the Lion lifters was Isaiah Nies-placed first in his wt class, winning best lifter and tying a state record with a 705 squat. The Ennis Lions 7th grade white basketball team lost 24-14 to Royse City last night. Although the Lions played great defense in all 4 quarters, they could not find a spark offensively. With their record at 3-3, the Lions head into the Royse City tournament this weekend as a 5 seed.
