The small but mighty Ennis Junior High Lions Cross-Country Team traveled to Ferris on Saturday to take part in the Run the Swarm Invitational, and run they did.
The ladies of the junior high ran their best times of the year. Eighth grader Olivia Rodriguez completed the two mile course in 15:59 with a 12th place finish. Eighth grade newcomer Faith Perez finished in 17:27 and in 22nd place.
The boys of the junior high also ran their best times of the year. Eighth grader Juventino Sandoval broke the tape as the Swarm champion with a time of 12:18. Right behind Sandoval was Enrique Garcia in 3rd place with a time of 12:38. Seventh grader Tyler Averett improved his time from two weeks ago to run 16:34 and place 26th.
