The Ennis Lions Basketball team went to Cleburne on Tuesday for their fourth district game of the year. The Lions started off great in the first quarter scoring 19 points. Ennis had a sluggish second quarter, but played great defense to have a 7 point lead at half. The third quarter won the game for the Lions and gave them a 14 point lead going into the fourth. The Yellow Jackets could not come back from the deficit and the Lions won 60-51. The Lions stand out player was Zion Manuel who had 20 points and played great defense. Other notable players were Laylon Spencer with 11, Rowdy Rice with 10 and Marlon Jones with 7. This game puts the Lions 3-1 in district for third in district. They will play Midlothian at home on Friday. Midlothian is ranked second in district with a 3-0 record.
