Game Recap

The Lady Lions began the game with a great block from JaMya Williams at the net and hood hustle from Janira Banks. The Lions traded points with the Hawks until a string of good serving from Red Oak jumped their lead 16-10. The Lions have been working on defense this week and had a few good digs during the game. Unfortunately Ennis could not rally back from the deficit and another string of tough serves by Red Oak closed out the first game 13-25. The second game had the Lions struggling with serving. Kills by Emily Gilstrap and Janira Banks added a few points to the scoreboard. A string of tough serving by the Lady Hawks finished out the game with the Lions only scoring 8 points. Despite the scores, the Lady Lions are showing improvement each week and will be ready for Walnut Grove at home next Thursday.
