Freshman Maroon fall to Corsicana 28-12

The Ennis Freshman Football team dropped a close one to Corsicana 28-12. The maroon team finished the season 6-4 overall and 4-1 in district play.

Freshman White Football Fall To Corsicana

The freshman white football team lost a hard fought battle to Corsicana 40-20 on Thursday. The lions showed great fight in their final game of the season. Running back Ivan Garcia led the lions rushing for the night. The linebacker core for the lions also played well.

Lady Lion Basketball Starts This Week!

The Lady Lion Basketball Team will begin the 2016-17 season with games at Kennedale on Saturday, Nov 5.  Freshmen at 10:30am, JV at 12pm, and Varsity at 1:30pm

8th Grade Maroon with another Win vs Walnut Grove

The Lions played a fantastic first half of football against Walnut Grove Tuesday night.  The quick start proved to be enough to hold off the Wildcats as the Lions finished the game a little sluggish.  Great offensive line blocking from #54 DeRyous Stokes and #57 Dorian Strawn gave the Lions running attack plenty of room. 8th Grade White Struggles against Walnut Grove

The Lions came out too flat defensively and missed too many assignments on offense to be contenders against Walnut Grove Tuesday afternoon.  Defensive tackle, # 40 Gabriel Aburto played very hard and made some great plays in the loss.  The Lions will look to build off of his example as they prepare for the final game

8th Grade Grey vs. Walnut Grove

The Lions had a rough time getting anything going against Walnut Grove Tuesday afternoon.  A strong effort from safety Cameron Elliot was one of the few bright spots the Lions can take away from the loss.  The Lions will need to regroup quick and get ready for their last game of the season next Tuesday.
