Lady Lions Basketball Banquet

The Ennis Lady Lions finished off their season with their basketball banquet on Monday night.  Besides celebrating a Varsity and JV 17-5A District Championships, the Lady Lions had several individual awards. Kayla Anderson – Academic All-State

Kayla Anderson, a District 17-5A 1st Team All-District Basketball selection, has been named Academic All-State by the Texas High School Coaches Association and the Texas Girls Coaches Association.  Student athletes must maintain a 94 average or above to be considered for this prestigious honor.  Congratulations Kayla!

Lady Lion Basketball School Board Recognition

The Ennis Lady Lions were recognized at Tuesday’s School Board Meeting for their successful 2017-18 season in which they won a District Championship, Bi-District Championship, and Area Championship.  The Lady Lions have also racked up numerous individual honors in recent weeks.

Tyquanna Ross – TGCA All-State

Tyquanna Ross has been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Team.  Ross, a junior guard, averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds for the Lady Lions.  Tyquanna helped lead Ennis to an undefeated 17-5A District Championship and was named 17-5A Player of the Year.  #17 Ennis went on to win a Bi-District Championship and

White and Ross Named to TABC All-Region Team

Senior, Nokoia “Koko” White, and Junior, Tyquanna Ross have been named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region Team for 2017-18.  The duo led the Lady Lions to an undefeated District Championship and playoff wins over College Station and Rouse before falling to #8 Temple in the Region III Quarterfinals.  Koko was the District

Kiara Glenn Honored by Sooner Athletic Conference

Kiara Glenn, a former point guard for the Ennis Lady Lions, was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference team. The freshman was SAGU’s third leading scorer with 11.5 points per game. She also averaged five rebounds per game and two assists per game. Glenn is

Lady Lions Win Bi-District Playoff Game vs College Station 74-50
