Stuckly signs with Bobcats

Senior Katherine Stuckly took advantage of early signing her national letter of intent and committed to the Texas State University Bobcats Track and Field program.  The 5′ 10″ senior will continue her educational career in engineering while high jumping for the Bobcats.

Noel Competes at State

Noel Qualifies for State

Distance runner Alyssa Noel qualified for the Texas State Track and Field Championships May 12th in Austin Texas. The senior standout and school record holder in the 800 (2:18.77) will compete Friday, May 12th at 6:20.

Records Fall at Region III Track and Field

Alyssa Noel broke two of Ennis’ long stand track and field records on the same day in Humble, Texas this weekend.  Both records were held by former outstanding Ennis distance runner Tori Lenz-Selvera in the 800 and 1600 meter runs, 2:21.99 and 5:27.92 respectively. The Lady Lions of Ennis finished an impressive weekend at the Region 3 Track and Field Championships.  Every Lady Lion put points on the board.  Ennis finished the meet with 25 points. The Ennis girls track and field team was honored this week by having three of its members selected for the Texas High School Coaches Association and Texas National Guard Academic All-State Teams.
