Distance runner Alyssa Noel qualified for the Texas State Track and Field Championships May 12th in Austin Texas. The senior standout and school record holder in the 800 (2:18.77) will compete Friday, May 12th at 6:20.

Alyssa Noel broke two of Ennis’ long stand track and field records on the same day in Humble, Texas this weekend.  Both records were held by former outstanding Ennis distance runner Tori Lenz-Selvera in the 800 and 1600 meter runs, 2:21.99 and 5:27.92 respectively. The Ennis Girls Track and Field team finished 7th in the 13 team field Thursday in College Station. In the field events, Paige Lemonia finished 6th in the long jump with a leap of 17′ 1.25″.  In the Triple Jump Paige soared to a 35′ 5.25″ to place 2nd and advance to the Regional Championships
