XC Ends Season at District 14-5A Championships

The Ennis Lions culminated their season in Cleburne on Thursday at the District 14-5A Championships. The Varsity Girls placed 6th with 159 points. The Ennis Lions Cross-Country team ran at the Dallas Conrad Classic on Saturday under some of the best conditions of the season. Cross-Country standouts Jose Loera and Ulisses Herrera signed their National Letters of Intent to run cross-country and track for the Southwest Assembly God University in Waxahachie starting next fall.

Ken Gaston XC results

On a rain soaked morning the Ennis Lions Cross-Country took part in the Ken Gaston Cross-Country Invitational at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. Gisela Sandoval once again led the Lady Lions in their second appearance this season.  Ennis finished 6th out of the 6 team field with 130 points. Junior High Runner Captures 2nd

The lone Ennis Junior High runner at the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational was eighth grader Juvantino Sandoval.  Sandoval covered the 3200 meter course in a blistering 12:36 to capture 2nd.

XC Woodhouse Invitational Results

  The Ennis harriers traveled across Ellis County to open their season with the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational held at Lake View Camp in Maypearl on Saturday. The Varsity Girls team finished 11th out of 13 complete teams with a score of 312 points.  Leading the way Senior Gisela Sandoval in 40th (22:35), followed by seniors
